Over   16 years old(under 18 years old should provide the information of a guarantee   in China), in good health, with valid passport, should abide by Chinese law   and the regulations of Chengdu University

Application   form, copy of passport,

medical   examination report(above 60 years old)

 

(2)   Time of enrolment

 

An academic year consists of spring and autumn semesters, the division of which

follows the schedule of Chinese spring festival and varies from year to year.

l  Autumn semester: from late August or early September to late January of the next year

l  Spring semester: from late February or early March to mid July

 

3.      Procedure

 

(1) When to apply

Applicants who apply for Chengdu University should submit the application 3 months before the start of the semester. Special circumstances may apply for admission at any time.

 

(2)   Application Procedure

Write to oice@cdu.edu.cn and ask for the “Application Form for International Students”       send back the form and other materials required(digital version is ok) to oice@cdu.edu.cn         receive the JW202 form and admission letter from Chengdu University        apply for a visa (X1 or X2) in the Chinese Embassy in the country (LED)with the two documents

 

4.      Scholarship

5.      HSK test center

The HSK test center set by Hanban in CDU is currently the only center qualified for online test in whole Sichuan province. Our HSK center will provide  foreign students with advisory services relevant to HSK test.

 

6.      Insurance

According to the requirement of Chinese government, foreign students must enroll in the group comprehensive medical insurance. Premium is 800RMB for one year, 400RMB for six month. If a student(short-term) can provide an insurance certificate that has been purchased, he/she may not participate in the group insurance.

9.      Life on Campus

Ø  International Teachers & Students Division (ITSD) will play a key role as management and liaison during your stay in CDU. We will offer help and service to you when you want to extend or change your visa, move off campus, or when you need to make contact with your Consulate or Embassy and your families in the event of an emergency. We will provide you with all the relevant documents and certificates when you finish your study and leave for your home country. We would like to keep in close touch with every student and offer you help whenever it is needed from the start of your application to the completion of your study.

Ø  There are libraries (open time: 8:30-22:30), language laboratories, banks, post offices, bookstores, hospitals, and grocery stores. Facilities for exercise include: gyms, stadiums, swimming pools, tennis courts, Ping-Pong tables, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and football fields. International students may dine at either the cafeterias on campus with other Chinese students or at restaurants around campus, which are very affordable.
